AGO offers agency specific benefits, such as an opportunity to work an alternative work schedule, a spot bonus program to reward hardworking employees, and a chance to work with military and federal partners.   Role Overview :  You will perform journey-level preventive maintenance, repair, and minor construction on the federally supported facilities, equipment and systems, roads and grounds incidental to the operation, sustainment, restoration, and modernization of the Camp Atterbury Joint Maneuver Training Center including providing emergency response (on-call) and service calls.   Salary Statement :  The salary for this position traditionally starts at $34,216.00 but may be commensurate with education or work experience.   A Day in the Life: The essential functions of this role are as follows:  Diagnose and repair various maintenance issues. Maintain service and maintenance records. Purchase required parts, tools, and supplies according to State policy. Repair buildings and structures. Assist with snow removal. Workday attendance at assigned worksite(s) is an essential function of this position. What You'll Need for Success: You must meet the following requirements to be considered for employment:  Working knowledge of various trades including masonry, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry. Working knowledge of radio communications and procedures. Working knowledge of appropriate safety precautions needed for a variety of repairs. Ability to use a variety of automotive, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical tools for routine maintenance and repair. Ability to prepare and maintain a variety of records.  Ability to use a wide variety of hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment. Ability to work independently and provide self-motivation. Ability to read and follow guidelines and blueprints to complete construction projects. Be willing to travel with reasonable accommodation.  Able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
