Now Hiring: Facilities and Equipment Maintenance Technician

Location: Onsite | Moreno Valley, CA 92551

Type: 5–6 Month Contract | 1st Shift

Pay: $28–$35/hour (based on experience)

We’re seeking a skilled and reliable Facilities and Equipment Maintenance Technician to support operations at our Moreno Valley distribution site. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on technician with a strong background in distribution center maintenance and a commitment to operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on conveyor systems, including motors, belts, scanners, and photo-eyes
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
• Use Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for workflow, diagnostics, and system optimization
• Maintain and manage spare parts inventory to reduce downtime
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors for facility services (HVAC, dock doors, pest control, etc.)
• Support workplace safety initiatives and identify facility hazards
• Conduct regular inspections and minor facility repairs as needed
• Oversee Materials Handling Equipment (MHE) performance and maintenance
• Collaborate with IT and automation vendors to resolve system-related issues
• Promote lean operations using continuous improvement and 5S practices

Schedule & Work Conditions

• Shift: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
• Overtime: Occasional weekend overtime required (typically once per month; may increase during peak periods)
• Worksite: Fully onsite, Moreno Valley, CA 92551

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a distribution center or similar industrial setting
• Strong technical knowledge of conveyor systems and automation equipment
• Proficient in troubleshooting electrical systems and PLCs
• Familiarity with CMMS and WMS platforms
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Hands-on experience with maintenance tools, safety protocols, and repair techniques
• Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Vocational training or degree in mechanical engineering, plant management, or related field
• Forklift, scissor lift, and single-man lift experience
• Knowledge of lean principles, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies
• Capable of training and mentoring peers
• Willingness to be on-call outside of normal shift hours if needed
